Previous Young Arts Projects

Stratford-upon-Avon College
Twenty-four students worked with players from Birmingham Conservatoire during a workshop day at the College. The students composed a piece of music which was played by the young musicians at an evening concert.

Armonico Consort
The donation given to the Armonico Consort by the Society provided regular training for ten singers from different Primary Schools in the Stratford area. Sponsorship for the chosen pupils was arranged so that, after training, they sang at a celebration concert in the Royal Albert Hall.

Bridgetown School
Every pupil at this school completed the making of an individually designed tile to illustrate changes to the school and its surrounding area. The tiles were made into a permanent display at the school.

Welcombe Hills Special School
STRADFAS was involved in funding music sessions at this school, using experts from the DRAKE PROJECT. This project uses computers and other electronic equipment to help pupils with special needs to participate actively in music-making. The Head of Music said afterwards “The training was superb and the enthusiastic reaction of the children was very touching”
