Special Interest Days are held twice a year (usually spring and autumn) and give members the chance to meet and explore subjects in greater breadth or depth than usual. On these occasions, a guest speaker gives three lectures on a chosen topic. There is opportunity for discussion and it is sometimes possible to examine artefacts at close range.
Meetings are usually held in the Play House in Rother Street (check individual Special Interest Days for confirmation) and include a buffet-style lunch.
Booking usually starts two/three months before the event and payment can be made by cash or cheque payable to STRADFAS. Members have booking priority although non-members may come if there is space.
