In keeping with its charitable status, The Arts Society supports conservation and preservation projects throughout the UK.
STRADFAS, through Community Arts (Arts Volunteering) offers grants to projects in the local community. This usually involves schools and young people.

Members also undertake conservation work such as repairing books and textiles through our group of Heritage Volunteers. At the moment members are working on conserving the ecclesiastical embroideries in a local church. This group also includes the Church Recorders who comprehensively document the furnishings of a selected local church.
